Week of April 3rd, 2017

Friday, April 7th: Springtime in Paris

The Princeton Club's 4th floor was transformed into a Parisian cabaret for our event celebrating the song and wine of the City of Lights. Eddie and Sui taught a basic Swing Lindy lesson and invited us to join them on the dance floor. 

Music was artfully provided by Fleur Seule, featuring Allyson Briggs. Guests were surprised to learn that many of the songs we treasure in the American songbook actually saw the light as French songs first! Some of the most famous examples are: My Way (Comme d'Habitude,) Beyond The Sea (La Mer,) What Now, My Love (Et Maintenant.)

Week of March 6th, 2017

Saturday, March 11th: Clue Chase
We braved the cold to take down world-renowned master thief, The Fox, in his own lair. After breaking in to his vault, we found clues and solved puzzles to liberate a number of stolen treasures. Highlights of our mission included the moment the alarm stopped blaring, mistaking Cassandra's purse for a clue, wondering if she works for the CIA, and singing the love theme to Titanic.

Week of February 13th, 2017

Saturday, February 18th: Swing Remix w/ Professor Cunningham
Professor Cunningham and his Old School got us on the dance floor to warm up. It may have been snowing outside, but it was hot on the dance floor at the JCC.

New Year's Eve Eve 2016

This year, our band of revelers will attended the annual New Year's Eve Eve Salon on December 30th at The Player's Club. Before the dance, a group of us met at Bocca, an Italian restaurant specializing in Roman cuisine, for a tasty dinner. You can view photos of the Salon event here.

Wednesday, December 21st: LFNY York Wing Alumni Event
The LFNY invited its alumni to return to the school and tour its new state of the art building. It was a nice addition to the campus. Photos here.

Week of December 12th, 2016

Monday, December 12th: Midtown Carol Sing
St. Bartholomew Church - St. Bart's to its friends, held its annual Christmas Carol sing-along on the church steps on Park Avenue, and we were there! A few of us took part in one of the most delightful traditions of the NYC Christmas season. After the singing, we stepped inside to warm up with cider and hot chocolate and cookies.

Saturday, October 29th: Princeton Club Halloween Ball
The Theme was "If You've Got It, Haunt It" and haunt it they did at an all-ivy affair in midtown. Look at how dashing!
